Transfers Awaiting Their Pair
Understand transfers between your own accounts and resolve the ones still waiting for a match.
A transfer is money moving between two of your own accounts, such as a Stripe payout to Mercury Checking or a payment from checking to your company credit card. It is not revenue or an expense, so Fynance needs both sides to match.
What "awaiting its pair" means
Fynance found one side of a transfer (for example, the money leaving Stripe) but not the other side yet (the money arriving at your bank). Until the second side is imported, the transfer stays in Pending review.
How to resolve it
- Click Refresh transactions. The other side often arrives a day or two later, and Fynance links them automatically.
- Open Transactions > Transfers to see linked pairs: From, To, Date, Linked and Amount.
- If the other account is not connected to Fynance (for example, a personal account), it is not a transfer between company accounts. Click Not a transfer and categorize it, for example as Member's Contributions (money in) or Member's Draws / Distributions (money out).
- If Fynance linked two transactions that are not the same transfer, click Not a transfer on that pair and categorize each side separately.
